Sheryl Hoyer, MD

Sheryl Hoyer, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years. In addition to practicing general medical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology at IDI, she works at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). At UIC, she is Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Director of Medical Student Education, teaching residents and medical students. Her interests include systemic medications for psoriasis and eczema, skin cancer and actinic keratosis prevention and treatment, isotretinoin for acne, and cosmetic filler/neurotoxin treatments. Dr. Hoyer stays active in the dermatology community having recently finished her reign as vice president of the Illinois Dermatological Society and having successfully lobbied with other board members to prohibit Illinois minors from using tanning beds. She loves to spend time with her husband, three grown kids, and two dogs. She especially loves hiking and bicycling.
