Rachel Thakore, MD

Dr. Rachel Thakore is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She graduated magna cum laude from the prestigious Brown University, where she earned her B.S. with honors in Biology and Community Health. She was inducted into the esteemed Sigma Xi Scientific Honor Society and subsequently completed a one-year research fellowship at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Department for Health Policy, where she published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

She then attended medical school at the distinguished Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she scored in the top 5% on step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Exam, earned honors is all of her core clinical rotations, and served on the board of the local free health clinic. Due to her significant achievements, Dr. Thakore was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society, the national medical honor society for physicians. She then completed a rigorous preliminary internship at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Osler Medical Residency Program. She completed her dermatology residency a Howard University, where she served as Chief Resident and furthered her interests in treating dermatological conditions in patients with skin of color. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and two golden retrievers.
