
Michael Lewitt, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Lewitt graduated Summa Cum Laude from a six-year program at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine, obtaining both his bachelor’s degree and medical doctorate by the age of 24. He did his residency at St. Louis University and served as Chief Resident in his final year of training.
Dr. Lewitt specializes in complex psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, and alopecia areata. He is a Peer Reviewer for multiple dermatology journals and sits on the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. He also leads and performs medical dermatology clinical trials with Denova Research.
He truly enjoys helping patients solve their dermatology issues while building strong and meaningful patient-doctor relationships with everyone who visits his office. Dr. Lewitt is an associate professor at Rosalind Franklin-Chicago Medical School. He teaches residents and students monthly.
Outside of work, Dr. Lewitt is an active person who enjoys weight training, ice hockey, and blues guitar. He currently works closely with the Chicago Canine Rescue, a local no-kill animal shelter, as he is an avid supporter of animal rights. He relishes lending a volunteer hand for causes and events that are meaningful to him throughout the Chicago community, and he does so each year.
